The MRC88M controller is an 8 source, 8 zone multi room controller with amplification and is the upgraded version of the tried-and-tested MRC88 which has been successfully used by installers for many years. With faster serial control, intelligent power sensing, IR routing, 8 source selection and the same high levels of control and operation simplified into one neat easy to use system, the MRC88M controller is the heart of a powerful multiroom system.

 

 
Product Features:

The MRC88m offers many operational improvements over the MRC88. The most important have been listed below.

  • The MRC88m offers a processing circuit that contains larger memory for your customers project storage.
  • Significantly improved RS232 control input support for applications that control the 88m via RS232. This leads to better handling of multiple and/or long input commands. Very important is the improved response speed to queries and commands.
  • Up to seven (7) lines of meta-data are available with the SPLCD64V, SPLCD64G and SPLCD39G. This meta-data can be obtained from iPort, our XIS100 and XMusic. Included are both scrollable menu style and current track information modes, including track title, artist and album name.
  • Fully interactive for control of the XIS100, Xmusic and iPort via our connected keypads.
  • The MRC88m will support the new auto configuring keypads (with new firmware) to match source devices. This new high performance keypad communications protocol. (Currently supported by the SPLCD64V, SPLCD64G and the SPLCD39G) will be available in all future MRC88 keypad designs. With the proper project information the MRC88m will auto configure itself for the listed job. This would include naming the eight (8) source buttons (iPod, DVD, Satellite, etc.) The pages under each source button will match the feature set for the source devices attached to the MRC88m. This new protocol also allows for hot swapping of keypads, no need to restart the MRC88m. This same new protocol allows for addition of keypads to the MRC88m system without restarting the MRC88m.
  • The MRC88m contains the next generation IR code library.
