The Fastest Battery In The World
The new XSTATIC® BATCAP® is powered by revolutionary New Technology It has established new standards for high power, and fast recharge in a small battery. The XSTATIC® BATCAP® is a battery that has a discharge rate of a capacitor.
** Just Released !! ** Xstatic Model 2000 BatCap
The Model 2000 is about the same size of a conventional car battery (8” Long x 8” Tall x 7” Thick) weighs in at 35 lbs, but packs a
SERIOUS PUNCH!
It gives you an unbelievable 2000 cold cranking amps!
Let’s think about this for a moment.....You need juice to keep your system going, right? What about a larger alternator? Too expensive? Not availble for your vehicle? Worried about messing with your vehicle's computer and electrical system? What other alternatives are out there? Capacitors or Batteries, right? Capacitors have become very large and very expensive - even on eBay! But their effectiveness is lacking when put to the test against the bass tones in today's music. Batteries are hazardous, heavy, and difficult to install with added the necessary relays or isolators. So, what's the answer??? Xstatic!!
Xstatic provides the solution to the delima of struggiling electrical systems. In short, they bridge the gap between Batteries and Capactirors, hence the name BatCap. for almost 10 years n here on eBay is between $50-$90. Why waste your hard earned money on simple ineffective caps when you can get a Model 800 BATCAP and have power equal to a 800 Cold Cranking Amp Battery being delivered at the speed of a Capacitor for only $179.00!
For $179.00 you might be able to get 3 “normal” Caps if someone gave you a great deal or a cheap battery and a 1 farad cap. But you would still only have 3-4% of the power of one single Model 800 BATCAP.
It just doesn’t add up, does it?
And that is if you are going to use it for an Audio System! That doesn’t even touch its main purpose. This is a 800 Cold Cranking Amp Battery!! This is a perfect way to get more starting power under the hood while at the same time reducing weight. And we all know that for racers, every pound counts! This is only 14 lbs and can fit in 1/4 the space a conventional battery. If you wanted to, you could mount four of these in most stock battery trays! With that you would have a whopping 3200 Cold Cranking Amps!! Where else are you going to find that?
How can Xstatic offer so much for so little? Easy, this is new technology, “normal” caps use Aluminum and that’s expensive. BatCaps utilize a less expensive core material thus the whole package costs less. Also, Xstatic saves you money by not adding “frilly” things that you don’t need. You won’t find any chrome, gold, neon, LED's, or anything like that, but that just saves you money. Xstatic isn’t about looks, it’s about function, it’s about creating an affordable product that really works like it is supposed to.
This is an excerpt from an article written by Steve Gibbs that I found under the Special Features section on Car Audio and Electronics Web Site.
The Article is Titled “Got Juice – Making Sure Your Audio System Gets Plenty of Power”
Feed the Need
A capacitor is a good solution for the quick power response needed for bass-heavy sound systems. A capacitor, sometimes called a stiffening capacitor, is a device that stores electrical voltage and releases it as needed. This is extremely helpful when your electrical system is near its capacity and the music you are playing suddenly hits a thunderous, long bass note. A capacitor would release the needed power to meet the demand without stressing the system and then would recharge itself immediately, ready for the next big note. There also are batteries designed to function like capacitors. The Xstatic BatCap is an example. They contain a larger charge (measured in farads) than do most capacitors.
These are some of the Questions that I have been asked about the BatCaps;
50, 100, 150, 300, 400, 800, 2000, or 8400? What's up with all the BatCaps?
For most people, a BatCap is used as an upgrade from a Capacitor or added in as soon as a Capacitor is needed. In most cases, people have out grown their 1-2 Farad Cap and are looking for a Capacitor Bank that's around 5 Farads. Normally those are about $199, and a Model 300 BatCap will seriously put perform a 5 Farad Cap and they are $159. So, with a Model 300, you get more performance while saving money.
For the next step up, people look into a 10-15 Farad Cap which will cost anywhere from $300-$400 and again, go with a BatCap and you can get a Model 400 for $219. And again, you save money while getting more performance.
Taking a sound system even further, people look into getting an even larger Capacitor, like the Alumapro CAP 15 or 50 ($400-$1000). And again, if you take a look at the BatCap line up you will find the Model 100 SuperCap. The Model 100 is a 35 Farad Capacitor for $359, put two of them together and get 70 Farads for $738. And again, you are talking about more power for less money.
The last BatCap is the Model 800, and it is really a Stereo Battery. It discharges & recharges 13 times faster than a Yellow Top so it is better able to keep up with the swift changes in current that Amplifiers demand. Because they have been advertised as for stereos, many people use Yellow Tops, but they are not actually designed for Stereo use. They are designed to provide you with a constant current draw over a long period of time, not short bursts, whereas the Model 800 is designed to give you a lot of power in an instant.
For someone looking to add a yellow top and a 2-5 Farad Cap in their trunk ($200-$400) we recommend a Model 800 ($169), it's less expensive, smaller, lighter, and will provide a better source of power for a stereo system than a Yellow Top and a 5 Farad Cap.
How exactly does it connect to the amplifier and/or battery?
Any of the BatCaps should be wired DIRECTLY in parallel with your amp(s) and it should be as close to the amp(s) as possible. Installation is simple and straight forward, no relays, isolators, or resistors to worry about. I include installation instructions and diagrams will every unit to assist in the installation process. If you need the Ring Terminal Connectors to attach 1/0 ga., 4 ga. or 8 ga. wire, check out my eBay Store.
Your ad says it is LIKE a battery, what’s the difference between me buying a second battery with 800 Cold Cranking Amps compared to a BatCap?
This would be the Model 800’s territory. OK here’s the Pro’s for the “Regular” battery…… It’s Cheaper and has a Higher Reserve.
Here’s the Pro’s for the Model 800 BatCap……Lighter, Smaller, Quicker to Recharge, Sealed, Maintenance Free, Can be mounted in any position, Designed for Audio Use, and Won’t Form a Memory. BatCaps will also hold a higher float voltage. Most “regular” batteries have a float voltage around 12.5 Volts, and the BatCaps start off at least 13.0 Volts. Basically put, if you just want to start your car, go buy a “regular” battery, but if you want to push some serious power to your amps, go with the BatCap!
Can I still keep my existing Capacitor installed or do I need to remove it in order for a BatCap to work properly?
It doesn’t matter which BatCap you are talking about, you can use “other” capacitors with a BatCap if you so choose. However, if you are competing in SPL competitions “regular” Capacitors can hurt you more than help you in some cases.
Does buying a BatCap negate buying another battery and an isolator?
Yes, the Model 300, 400, 800, or 2000 function as both a Battery & a Cap, so you get the best of both worlds in that respect. Plus you don’t need to use isolators or relays with any of the BatCaps.
Do you have to replace your battery with this or is it better to keep your old battery and put the BatCap in the trunk?
The Model 800 and 2000 are the only “replacement” batteries that Xstatic offers. They are an excellent option to reduce some weight under your hood. For Stereo applications, however, you would be better off to put your a BatCap in back with your amp(s) and leave your “regular” battery under the hood.
What is the difference between the Model 300, 400, 800, or 2000 and the Mini, Super, or MegaCaps?
The Mini (10 Farad), Super (35 Farad), and Mega (50 Farads) are all Capacitors, they use a Double Electric Layer Core (instead of Aluminum) to provide their massive Capacitance. The Mini, Super, and MegaCaps are also designed to be able to be charged up to 16 Volts where as the Model 300, 400, 800, or 2000 are designed to be used in a more stock applications with voltages up to 15 volts.
The other difference is discharge and recharge time. Being Capacitors, the Mini, Super, and MegaCaps have the extremely fast discharge and recharge times that Capacitors are known for. The Model 300, 400, 800, and 2000 are a little slower than the Caps, they can make up for it with the much higher current deliveries and increased discharge times.
Is the 300 more of a cap or more of a battery?
Here is an interesting way of looking at it;
The Model 50, 100, and 150 are 100% Capacitor The Model 300 is 70% Cap, 30% Battery The Model 400 is 50% Cap, 50% Battery The Model 800 is 30% Cap, 70% Battery The Model 2000 is 30% Cap, 70% Battery
Those are not technical specifications, just an easy way to look at it to get a better understanding of what each BatCap does.
I have a 1 farad cap but my lights still dim up bad. Will this help power my system and take away the load from my alternator?
Yes, a BatCap will help this problem. However, if your alternator is not functioning properly then a BatCap (or Battery or Cap) will just be a crutch. You have to know how much power your amplifiers need and you must provide an electrical system that can meet those demands. For a better idea of which BatCap can help you meet those needs just e-mail me with the information about your system.
Do you offer discounts on the purchase of multiple items?
Yes, we not only offer a discount for multiple unit purchases, but we also give discounts to existing competitors. The Discounts that we offer are also through eBay, not side sales, so you still have eBay’s purchase protection. E-Mail us with your situation for more details.
We are very serious about these claims. These units are still rather new to the industry and we were VERY skeptical at first too. But then we saw one of the Model 300’s at work in my car and it was very impressive!
We then upgraded to a Model 800 on my system and it was used for both daily listening and for SPL Competitions in my personal vehicle. As my system grew, I ended up running a Model 400 per amp to feed the very serious needs of my amplifiers in Competition. We are not just Dealers, we are also a SPL Competitors and I am personally a 2 Time World SPL Champion in MECA (Mobile Electronics Competition Association). This experience allows us to speak from real world trial and error instead of from a bunch of sales mumbo jumbo.
This small compact unit has saved me a lot of space and also reduced some of the weight from my trunk. And let’s face it, good batteries aren’t cheap either. I know a lot of people who pay good money for a “dedicated” stereo battery plus buy a cap or two. This single little unit can do a better job and save you money!
Like Xstatic says, “More Energy per Pound Than Any Battery On The Market Today!”, to me, they have proven that!
