WE PERSONALLY USE AND RECOMMEND HIGHLY THE YAKTRAX PRO HEAVY DUTY TRACTION DEVICE FOR ICE AND SNOW!!

• We have used both the regular YAKTRAX and the YAKTRAX PRO; based on our experience, the PRO provides superior traction in all conditions.  This isn't surprising, since the PRO also costs about $10.00 more. 
• The primary difference between the two: the Pro has a superior bottom tread/coil pattern, and also has a security strap that goes over your foot just below the ankle.  The security strap, we found, gives a lot of extra stability on steeper slopes, making sure that your foot doesn't "pop out" of the rubber molding.  
• We strongly recommend the PRO model for everyone...it is the only YAKTRAX model we offer because of our personal evaluations of both models.  It is well worth the extra 10 bucks.
• One caveat:  in deep snow, you'll obviously want to use snow shoes.  But if the snow is packed or lightly packed, the YakTrax is a heck of a lot cheaper, lighter, and easier to use.
