YAMAHA YEP-321 FOUR VALVE EUPHONIUM WITH CASE AND METAL STAND, GOOD WORKING CONDITION, NO REPAIR NEEDED
Up for auction is a USED, Yamaha four-valve euphonium (sometimes called a baritone). The euphonium is pretty used, but is going to play just fine. It would be a great instrument for a beginning, intermediate, or advanced student to have for practice and lessons, or for a middle school or high school music program. But don't get me wrong, this is not a student horn!

This is a big full size euphonium, with a 0.571 inch bore, an 11-inch diameter bell! The total length is about 27 inches. It is not a student instrument. It is a full, regular euphonium with four valves. You don't find four valves in horns available to students very often. The fourth valve is like an F-trigger on a trombone, and puts the instrument into the key of F (so you can play C with either valves 1 and 3, or 4 by itself).

It is READY TO PLAY and doesn't need ANY repairs! All four valves move freely! All valve buttons are present. The instrument includes a case and a mouthpiece, Schilke 51D. All tuning slides (master tuning and one for each valve) are movable and move easily. The handle of the case is worn out, but otherwise everything is in good shape. This auction includes a metal stand to hold the instrument upright when it's not in its case.

This instrument plays very well and in tune, and with it my son went on to win the John Philip Sousa musical award in Middle School (Venado Middle school, Irvine, CA)! This horn, which retails for $2039, is praised for its big full sound, its responsiveness, and its intonation. In addition, its light weight makes it easier for a younger, beginning musician to handle.

Parents, consider that the cost of renting an instrument like this will cost anywhere from $75-$100/month, so buying it instead of renting pays for itself in less than one school year! Plus, your child-instrumental student will have the pride of ownership that will make him or her work even harder!

Yamaha is a big name in brass. They make good horns with strong materials and are built to last. NOTE: We have NO reserve price -- you'll get a great instrument at a more than fair price.
