The Yardbirds Collection is made mostly of scrap and recycled parts such as garden tools, car parts, farm implements, bicycle parts, mufflers and more. Since they are made from recycled materials each animal, bird or critter is slightly imperfect, but lovable all the same. The materials are bare metals and will naturally rust with age. You can treat them with a clear acrylic enamel spray such as Krylon or Rustoleum.

Yardbirds has come up with a great way to contribute to the good of the environment; they are saving rejected metal parts from ending up in a landfill. The Yardbirds Collection is a great converstaon piece; many people have fun identifying the parts that have cleverly been used to make them and they marvel at the way the simple tilt of a head can give a sculpture so much personality.

Each sculpture is handcrafted in Kentucky. They are each beautiful works of art and have their own personality. Each sculpture will vary slightly due to their handcrafted nature and use of recycled materials.
