These 5 YELLOW KID PINBACKS were ADVERTISING PROMOTIONAL PREMIUMS from the HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTE COMPANY.  4 of the YELLOW KID PINBACKS are Marked: COPYRIGHTED 1896  B. NEUBERGER  N.Y.   The YELLOW KID IRELAND (FLAG) PINBACK is Marked: COPYRIGHTED 1897  B. NEUBERGER  N.Y.    All 5 YELLOW KID PINBACKS Are ORIGINAL & VINTAGE BUTTONS. They Are All in ORIGINAL & UNRESTORED CONDITION.  All PINBACKS Have their ORIGINAL  PIN on the Back of the BUTTON.   4 of the YELLOW KID PINBACKS have EMBOSSED METAL BACKS with HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTE Incised on them.  All the PINBACKS Are Made of CELLULOID with Different IMAGES & GRAPHICS of THE YELLOW KID. The YELLOW KID PINBACK with the YELLOW KID Riding A BROOM HORSE Has A PAPER LABEL (On BACK) Which Reads: GIVEN WITH  HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTES  RILY-KLOTZ  M'F'G  CO.  NEWARK, N.J.  MADE UNDER  W.& H. CO. PAT'S  JULY 17, 1894   APRIL 14, & JULY 21, 1895.  The YELLOW KID  Was a Famous CARTOON CHARACTER Created by the CARTOONIST: RICHARD FELTON OUTCAULT 1862 - 1928. This CARTOON Was Very Political & Very Controversial of the Times. The CHARACTER that RF OUTCAULT Drew was Originally Named: MICKEY DUGAN & Became Known As: THE YELLOW KID.  All the PINBACKS Have RF OUTCAULT'S  Name at the Bottom of the Image of THE YELLOW KID.  Individual Descriptions & Conditions to Follow.

1) THE YELLOW KID is Holding A Flag of IRELAND: Original & Unrestored Vintage PINBACK BUTTON. On the Front is an Image of THE YELLOW KID Holding an IRISH FLAG. The BUTTON Reads:  IRELAND  #124  ADMIRAL CIGARETTES  COPYRIGHTED 1897, B. NEUBERGER, N.Y.  OUTCAULT.  On THE YELLOW KID'S SHIRT it Reads: "DIS IS DE FLAG OF ME 4 FADDERS." The CELLULOID & GRAPHICS are Bright & Shiny with GOOD COLOR. There Are No Cracks, Chips or Breaks. The Original PIN is on the Back. There are Some Very Tiny & Light Surface Scratches. The CELLULOID is OFFWHITE in Color with the ORIGINAL GLOSS. The METAL BACK has Discoloration with Some Tiny Spots of Surface Oxidation. The PIN has Some Surface Discoration but is Still Shiny.  This PINBACK is In Very Good+ Condition.

2) THE YELLOW KID is Riding a BROOM HORSE: Original & Unrestored Vintage PINBACK BUTTON. On the Front is an Image of THE YELLOW KID Riding a BROOM HORSE.  The BUTTON Has the #21 on it.  HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTES   COPYRIGHTED  1896, B. NEUBERGER, N.Y.  OUTCAULT. On THE YELLOW KID'S SHIRT it Reads: "SAY WHEN I GIT DIS HORSE BROKE HE MIGHT WIN A RACE."  The BUTTON BACK has the ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL from the HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTE COMPANY. The ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL (on the BACK) is All COMPLETE Without Any Tears or Rips. The PAPER LABEL is Dark Tan to Brown in Color (From Age). The CELLULOID is OFFWHITE with the ORIGINAL GLOSS. The CELLULOID & GRAPHICS are BRIGHT & SHINY with GOOD COLOR. This PINBACK is in Very Good+ to Excellent Condition.

3) THE YELLOW KID with CUPID'S BOW & ARROW: Original & Unrestored Vintage PINBACK BUTTON. On the Front is an Image of THE YELLOW KID with CUPID'S BOW & ARROW. The BUTTON has #20 on it.  HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTES  COPYRIGHTED  1896, B. NEUBERGER, N.Y.  OUTCAULT. On THE YELLOW KID'S SHIRT is Reads: "AIN'T I  A HOT CUPID." The BUTTON BACK is METAL with the ORIGINAL PIN. The METAL BACK is Incised: HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTES & N.Y. JOURNAL  YELLOW KID. The METAL BACK has Surface Discoloration with Some Small Spots of Surface Oxidation. The ORIGINAL PIN has Surface Discoloration but is Still Shiny. The CELLULOID is YELLOWED & FADED. There are Several Surface Ridges with Surface Cracks to the CELLULOID. No Pieces Are Missing or are their Chips to the CELLULOID. The Raised CRACKS Can Be Seen & Felt when You Rub Across the Surface of the BUTTON. The CELLULOID Still has the ORIGINAL GLOSS. This PINBACK is in FAIR to Good Condition.

4) THE YELLOW KID is POINTING: Original & Unrestored Vintage PINBACK BUTTON. On the Front is an Image of THE YELLOW KID Pointing. On the Background it Reads: "ALL DIS WOILD IS BRIGHT & GAY  NUTTIN T'ALL TER DO BUT PLAY - ALL YEAR - ROUND TE ME IS MAY SO KEEP DE CHANGE."  On his Shirt it Reads: "SAY I AINT SO WORSE ON POITRY." The CELLULOID is OFFWHITE. The CELLULOID & GRAPHICS Are Bright & Shiny with Good Color. The CELLULOID has the ORIGINAL GLOSS. The BUTTON has the #31.  HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTES   COPYRIGHTED 1896  B. NEUBERGER, N.Y. OUTCAULT. There are a Few Small Age Spots to the CELLULOID with Some Very Tiny Surface Scratches. The METAL BACK is Incised with: HIGH ADMIRAL CIGARETTE. The METAL BACK has Discoloration, Some Wear (by the PIN) with Some Spots of Surface Oxidation. The ORIGINAL PIN has Some Surface Discoloration but is Still Shiny.  This PINBACK is in Very Good Condition.

5) THE YELLOW KID SMOKING A CIGARETTE, WEARING A CAP & LEANING AGAINST A TRUNK: Original & Unrestored Vintage PINBACK BUTTON. On THE YELLOW KID'S SHIRT it Reads: "I'LL HAVE A HOT TIME IN PARRUS." On the TRUNK it Reads: "DE VALLER KID HOTEL ST. MALO  PARIS."  The BUTTON is #64 in the Series. It is Marked: "YELLOW KID CIGARETTES"  OUTCAULT   N.Y. JOURNAL  COPYRIGHTED 1896  B. NEUBERGER, N.Y.  This is a Much RARER BUTTON & is Different from the Others. On the METAL BACK is Incised: HIGH ADMIRAL AND N.Y. JOURNAL  YELLOW KID CIGARETTES. The METAL BACK has Some Discoloration but is Still SHINY. The ORIGINAL PIN has Some Light Discoloration but is Shiny. The CELLULOID is OFFWHITE. There is Some Small, Light & Faint Soiling to the CELLULOID with Some Light & Tiny Surface Scratches. The CELLULOID is Bright & Shiny with Good Color & Good Graphics. This PINBACK is in Very Good Condition.
