Yamaha 52" Studio Upright in Chestnut !

Once in a while we have the opportunity to offer something entirely specatacular! Just arrived is the very rare Yamaha 52" W102 (U3) in a rich dark chestnut. Originally purchased new in the early 1980's the piano was owned privately and very well maintained. The piano plays great with a deep full bass. This model piano was actually a step above the U3. Take notice of the nickel plated pins, U3's of that era were iron and were much more prone to rust. Also notice the cabinet, the front of the piano has a real nice music stand that will accomodate a book or score. U3's have little music shelfs that are screwed in to the keyboard cover. Right behind the music stand are large round sound vents that allow the sound of the piano to eminate from the front. Other uprights direct the sound into the wall. If you see the keyboard cover in it's open position it recesses into the front of the piano rather than lean against it. All in all there isn't a better upright on the market.

CONDITION
The condition of this piano is MINT it was owned privately and shows very minimal wear. Some photos will show reflections that seem like chips in the finish. I would be happy to retake any images you like. All strings and harware show no oxidation and the soundboard is perfect with no ridges or cracks. The exterior or case is perfect with no damage. The action is nice and tight with no sloppiness which is more common with a well worn piano.
