Yamaha Compass series CPX-5 VS guitar acoustic electric

 Yamaha Acoustic electric guitar, excellent condition. This is the Compass series, model CPX-5. The VS stands for Violin Sunburst, my favorite color for guitars (I tend to call it Vintage Sunburst). This has a single cutaway, and body is 9.5 cm thick with great resonance, both unplugged and plugged. It is just a gorgeous guitar, and I have it set up to play very well indeed. This is only a couple or three years old. It is made in Tiawan, and one of the best quality ones I have seen or played. The wood is beautiful and it shows through the nice rich color, and on the back the wood grain is straight and tight. (by the way, the photo of the back has some relflections on it, and those are not finish smudges). The body is bound on front and back. Has X-bracing.

The condition is very, very good, I would say a 8.75 out of 10. There is one small pinhole ping on the front (toward the end, behind bridge, not really visible in the photo), one tiny (3mm) nick on the back by the binding on upper bout, a few striations on the pickguard and a couple of mild finish scratches that should polish right out. Only the mildest of fret wear. The tuner hardware is chrome. It has a 3-band slider equalizer, an EQ control, an on-off for mid-shape, a red battery low light, and a volume control. A separate battery compartment is located near the neck (see photo). Sounds great plugged in, and it can get loud (I play through my marshall acoustic amp). I do not have a case for this, but I ship regularly and will pack it well.
