For 1st time purchasers of a MIJ guitar it is only after purchasing and playing one of my vintage guitars such as Yamaha, Tokai, Terada, Morris and Suzuki that they appreciate the fine quality and sound. In many cases the build quality and sound of the models that I offer is far superior to that offered by new modern high-end solid wood models.  1. Selected as being representative of the best of their period, they are high quality craftsman built instruments and display a high degree of hand finishing.

 2. Selected because they provide good Resonance and Balanced sound, in some case better than modern solid wood guitars. Dependant on manufacture they vary between sweet, vibrant or strong and rich tones.

 3. Selected because they are manufactured using very a high grade of materials and the construction shows a high degree of craftsmanship. Standard models make use of very high-grade laminates while up market models use presentation grade solid seasoned woods in their construction.

 I personally examine and carefully clean, polish and set up each guitar and I ensure that they are properly packaged so that they arrive safely.

Yamaha (Nippon Gakki) FG-150F Vintage Black Label, MIJ 1974-75 OOO size.

Black Label was made as a reissue of the famous FG Red Label and it sounds good as Red label. Made in 1975 Black Label, Serial 50801. Made in Japan. Scale 636m/m, Folk Guitar. OOO size. Body top is Spruce. Agathis back and side. Fingerboard and bridge is Palisander. Neck is Nyatoh fat D shape, very easy to play. Head stock has Three Tuning Forks Logo.  Weight=1.7kg. Frets remain 80-85%. This 35 years old and well dried wood materials guitar will give you a very, very nice sound as you play more it will get better and better.

There are a few very small dents and markings on Body top. Clean Fret board. Body back and side have some dents and scratches adding some history to the guitar. Head stock corner has been chipped. Back of neck is clean with some small dents. Clean Tuners give you a good stable tune. Plastic rod cover partly broken.

It comes with no bag or case. It plays very well with a balanced loud sound.
