Up for auction
is a great Yamaha Intermediate Horn with a silver-plated finish in very good
condition.
Trumpet
is in excellent shape. Originally bought after my last season of Drum Corps,
I’ve decided to move on from playing Sop. This trumpet is from an Intermediate Line and I
purchased it in the fall of 2002 for about $1200.00.
I’ve played it on and off, but always performed maintenance and cleaning
when not using it. I’ll have it professionally
cleaned for the winner of the auction before shipment.
Yamaha
came out with this intermediate line of instruments called Allegro. This is the trumpet from that
line. It’s a good mixture between
pro-level and entry-level instruments.
It’s for that reason it is perfect for everyone, from the advanced
beginner to the best player who just wants a good horn to practice with or even
using it to perform. I played
several times for weddings and other occasions and was always happy with the
tone and versatility. Its
medium-large bore and yellow-brass bell create a nice big sound with clear
projection. Alone, or from studio
to big band, concert band, chamber group or orchestra, the YTR5335GS is a great
value.

Silver
plating is in very good shape except for a small ding on the pipe directly next
to the lead-pipe.
Body tubing is
also in excellent shape except for a small (1/8”) indentation from an accident
in Drum Corps.
Valves are just as
they were new. Very clean inside
(I only used synthetic valve oil) and extremely responsive. No burs or scratches.
The slides are the same, excellent
condition, and easily operated due to my use of synthetic lubricants.
Bell is also in great shape with no
deformities, previous repairs or scratches.
The case is in fair condition, with some scrapes around the exterior
including a white gouge near the handle.
I’ve included a picture of this in my gallery. However, the interior of the case is in excellent condition,
showing no signs of wear. T
he
Yamaha Custom 14B4-GP and Benge 3C mouth pieces are in good order, showing only
normal, minor signs of wear.
The Tom Crown mute is in good,
functioning condition showing only minor scratches on the base due to
experiences at Blue Lake.

a reputable music store here in Michigan brand new. Model number is YTR5335GSAL, and the serial number is

pictures of these, but would be willing to try again if needed.
