COMPANY POLICIES

Please read and agree to our policies below prior to placing an order. These policies are meant to ensure that each transaction goes smoothly and is a pleasant experience for all parties involved. Always Essential cannot be blamed or held responsible for problems that result from our customers’ failure to clarify their questions or their failure to read and agree to our policies prior to placing an order as requested.

*Always Essential takes extreme care in providing its customers accurate answers and takes questions very seriously. Oftentimes this requires us to get the answer from the supplier of the item of interest. In such cases Always Essential passes the exact answer it receives from the supplier on to the customer. Unfortunately, on rare occasions, inaccurate answers are received that have the potential to create a problem. Receiving inaccurate information from its suppliers is out of Always Essential’s control and, therefore, Always Essential cannot be blamed or held responsible for a consequential problem. However, Always Essential is committed to working very closely with the customer and the supplier to resolve the problem as efficiently, respectfully and professionally as possible.

Because orders are processed and shipped by the suppliers of Always Essential merchandise, Always Essential does not have control over shipping timeframes. Shipping time varies between products and suppliers due to stock availability policies; some products are stocked on a regular basis and other products are sold on a made-to-order basis. In-stock items generally ship in approximately 1 – 7 business days while made-to-order items generally take 2 – 6 weeks. For items that take more than a few days to ship on a regular basis, Always Essential sends an email notification stating such after receiving the order. *****If shipping time is a concern, please email us at customer.service@alwaysessential.com for an estimated shipping timeframe prior to placing your order to avoid problems and disappointments.

Shipping time is longer during the peak Christmas shopping season and we encourage you to place your order early during this time of year. Our suppliers have a cut-off date after which they will not promise delivery by Christmas. During the months of November and December we strongly advise that you contact us about the possibility of delivery in time for Christmas. Because our suppliers determine Christmas delivery cut-off dates and Always Essential has no control over delivery time, Always Essential is not responsible for items not received before Christmas. *Our shipping and handling charges are not only for the cost to ship the item to the purchaser but also include the fees charged by our suppliers to process the order and ship the item(s) for us (dropship fee); eBay fees charged when posting, listing and selling the item; and merchant account fees (i.e., PayPal fees, credit card processing fees, etc.). For many of our items our dropship fee is very substantial and PayPal and eBay fees, that are percentage-based, are also very substantial, all of which add up to a very significant amount of money. Unlike some other online retailers, Always Essential chooses to incorporate all of its fees incurred for posting, listing and selling their items into the handling charge that is added together with the shipping charges, but separate from the retail price of the item. Although it sometimes appears that the shipping and handling fee is high, please be assured that Always Essential is committed to providing its customers with the fairest combined price (for the item itself and for the S&H) as possible.

*If you plan on moving to a new address within 6 weeks of placing an order, please contact customer.service@alwaysessential.com prior to placing an order, or wait to place your order until after you move, to avoid any potential delivery problems.

Payment must be received and cleared before item is shipped.

Returns and/or replacements will only be granted if the merchandise has a manufacturer’s defect or is damaged during shipping. Occasionally other returns will be allowed if an acceptable reason is provided. However, prior authorization from the supplier is required in both cases. No refunds will be given simply because the item color does not match the color on your PC monitor or because dimensions slightly differ than advertised (many items are handcrafted and dimensions may not measure to the exact ¼”). Again, all returns must be authorized by the supplier before you can return the item. A claim must be filed via email within 3 days of the receipt of the item or the claim can be considered as not received. If you need to return an item, or if you need a replacement due to damage or defect, please contact us at customer.service@alwaysessential.com and include the reason that you need to return or replace the item. We will then contact you about the possibility of doing so, and of the procedure if your request is approved. Items must be returned in the original packaging and in the condition in which they were received. Most suppliers issue a call tag with the delivery company that ships their products and that company schedules a date to pick up the package. In some cases we are informed of the pick-up date. If notified, we contact you via email requesting that you ensure the package is available for pick-up at the scheduled time.

As soon as the supplier receives the return and notifies us that the return met their specifications, we will immediately place an order for a replacement or issue a refund. You are not responsible for return shipping costs, or costs incurred to replace the item, in cases where the supplier or delivery company is at fault. However, in all other cases you are responsible for all costs incurred for the return (i.e., shipping and handling fees, re-stocking fees charged by the supplier to accept the return, eBay and merchant account fees, call tag required to have the item picked up and returned by the delivery company); the refund will be for the retail price of the item(s) purchased minus all costs incurred to return the item(s).

All in-stock items are shipped by the supplier as soon as possible. Occasionally, our suppliers’ stocks get depleted. Out-of-stock items will be placed on backorder unless you request otherwise. All backordered items will be shipped at the time the product becomes available. Because many of our distributors do not inform us when items are backordered, we cannot notify you of such. If availability is a concern to you, please contact customer.service@alwaysessential.com prior to placing your order and request that we check the availability of the item. Backorders are shipped at prices in effect when the item was ordered.

Always Essential takes great care in removing discontinued items from its website upon notification from its suppliers. However, on occasion, a supplier neglects to notify us when a listed item is discontinued and no longer available. In the case where a discontinued item is ordered, we will immediately notify you to discuss possible alternative options.

Because products are sent from the supplier, Always Essential is not responsible for inventory, shipment, product quality or product guarantees. Some suppliers process orders on a made-to-order basis and, therefore, they take time to manufacture and ship out. Although many products are readily available for shipment, occasionally an item is temporarily out of stock or has been discontinued without our knowledge. (Please refer to our "Backordered or Discontinued Items" policy.) Furthermore, Always Essential has no control over methods of shipment used by our distributors, or delivery time of its products. (Please refer to our "Delivery/Shipping Details" policy.) Every product on Always Essential's website is shipped by its suppliers; Always Essential never sees the item our supplier ships. Suppliers are solely responsible for product quality. Finally, because products are sent from the supplier, Always Essential is not responsible for product guarantees. Please refer to the manufacturer's warranty in the case of problems incurred after usage. If no information is available, please contact us at customer.service@alwaysessential.com and we will do our best to assist you. However, if the item is defective or damaged upon receipt the supplier is responsible for returns or exchanges. Always Essential will assist you in such cases and will work with the supplier to return or replace the item. (Please refer to our "Returns" policy.)
