| This is a 30" x 30" painting in acrylic on canvas of a Yak Heifer strutting her stuff. She was the first calf born on my farm inn the Highlands. She is a great jumper & nobody's fool.
Yaks are good natured, high altitude cattle, native to Tibet & a few of whom live in the Highlands of Canada. Boz Grunion, sometimes called the grunting cattle of Mongolia because they make a low sound resembling a grunt than the "moo" heard from bovines.
In the winter, their long silky hair sometimes forms icicles that tinkle as they walk. In the sumer they love going into the water to play.
The proceeds of my paintings helps me keep the herd well cared for.
Signed & personally dedicated archival reproductions on canvas 20" x 20", are available for $200.00 by special order. |
