  My grandchildren call me 'Teddy Nan'!!!

I live in Perth in the beautiful State of Western Australia

For 15 years I was in the business of selling  Teddy Bear Making Supplies with the main emphasis on  organizing and conducting workshops by  award winning overseas, interstate and local teddy bear artists, who each had their own unique technique and creative ability in design and use of various textiles be it mohair or leather to recycled mink or other mediums.

Some of the artists I promoted  where:

 Omi's Bear/Australia,    Mark Rodrigues/Singapore,    Janet Clarke/UK,    Linda Benson/Australia,     Loris Hancock/Australia,    Jennifer Laing/Australia (now USA),   Sharon Grace/New Zealand,  Sonya Heron/Australia and many more.

During this time I was fortunate to collect many irresistable limited edition and one of a kind artist bears, along with sample bears for patterns and workshops.These where then added to my already extensive collection, including  beautiful pre loved antique teddy bears plus dolls and  many things old and antique. 

 As I am now retired and space is at a premium, it is time for me to down size my collection and let someone else enjoy a little something from Teddy Nan's Treasures.

INTRODUCING

A  PANDA  BEAR  CUB  called  "YUM - CHA"

 by Sonya Heron - Australia.

In the past, I have been very fortunate, and had great pleasure in promoting leading Teddy Bear Artists, many of whom have been our own  Award Winning Australian Artists.

Sonya Heron is one of these, with her unique ability and eye for detail coming through in all her sought after creations.

YUM - CHA is a delightful 15" PANDA BEAR CUB and has been part of my collection for 8 years.

He is made in a combination of black and white finest quality German Schulte Mohair.

His paw pads are in black  ultra suede with a small amount of trapunto work on them.

He has authentic black boot button eyes.

His nose has been embroidered and then resined to give it a hard, shiney surface.

He has a cute "baby face" with a tinge of shading to his upper eye area and also on his tummy.

He is lightly stuffed in upper part of body, which gives him a nice "squishy" feel, with a slightly floppy neck.

He sits beautifully and appears very intent.

He has the little wooden heart on his rear, with the inscription - "Heartfelt by Sonya" 

This gorgeous panda is full of appeal.
