What seems like many years ago, now, a little known purveyor of Z Scale items, PennZee, took it upon itself to give us a new and different car style for our tiny hobby...a three-bay hopper. No one could have foreseen the reception and success of those little beauties! They certainly filled a Z Rail void! Since their introduction to the Z World, PennZee has built upon it's success with an ongoing array of these limited edition hopper cars in a variety of liveries covering many different Railroad Lines. In that first release was included a model of a red Santa Fe Railroad coaler. Within the year, that run was sold out! Many moons later, Full Throttle, leasing PennZee's mold, released the "Stealth" version of an ATSF three-bay hopper car. Now, yet a third ATSF 90-100 ton hopper release is issued by PennZee with four different reporting numbers! As with all PennZee hoppers, this car includes a coal load, and comes equipped with MT trucks and knuckle couplers! This model wears reporting number 183087. It's highly detailed, the paint job is super quality and the printing is crisp and clear...and minuscule! Be sure to score on this wonderful new addition to our Scale! It's especially collectible for our ATSF fans out there, and will be a welcome adjunct to any Z engineer's roster, as ATSF coalers appeared nearly all over this United States. As has been the ticket, this car comes packaged in a nice little clear plastic case and form-fitting liner. Please don't let this third release ATSF hopper get away from you!
