ZUNI NAVAJO Turquoise silver articulated turtle old pin

Hello, please note that you are bidding on one pin only. That is the articulated turtle with a turquoise stone mounted on his back. Note: you are bidding on one item only, the last photo is of some other wonderful pins or brooches that I have up and running live on ebay or in my store. Please take a minute to go view them. The Gold pins are from circa 1870's and really nice gold (real) quarts. This turtle pin is really neat with some nice old stampings and work done on the back and feet. It is fairly large being about 2 1/5" long and just about 1 3/8" wide. Take a close look underneath as it is articulated, that is if you move the tail back and forth the head moves opporsite direction. The head and tail are all one piece that move. It is pinned in the center on the bottom under the stone. The eyes are turquoise as well as the stone on the back. The stones are in very nice condition with a nice bezzels, they do have some wear but I love to see that. It has a wonderful patina and color. Overall a very nice animated pin. It is hard to get zoomorphic in zuni/navajo silver and turquoise jewelry. Please ask all questions prior to bidding as we do like all sales to be final.
