This vintage Zildjian 22" Ride Cymbal is a great addition to any drum kit. I am not an expert on vintage instruments, but I did a lot of research on the markings / logo before listing this and I am confident it is from the 1950s (please contact me if you believe it to be of a different era or can confirm it is from the 50s). It weighs approximately 8 pounds or I guess that's approximately 3628 grams. So I think that makes it a HEAVY ride cymbal. The mounting hole in the center measures 1/2 inch.
Here is some history on this cymbal: I bought it in the early 1980s along with a 1950s Ludwig drum kit from an old jazz drummer. I have owned it ever since. I played it a good bit when I first got it, but very little over the past 10 years. It has not been used at all in the past 7 years.
This cymbal is in great shape especially for its age. It has some of the usual tarnising. I did not bother to clean or polish this cymbal because I know different drummers have different ideas about how this should be done. Some do not believe in cleaning them at all. So I will leave the cleaning up to the winning bidder. There are some stick scuffs on the bell, should clean off with no problem. It has some minor dings and scratches, but nothing major (see pictures).
I inspected this cymbal thoroughly, it is not bent, has NO rivet holes, has no major scratches and has NO cracks. Please view my photos as they represent this item better than I could describe it.
