This is a Buddhist ritual skull bowls or kapalas from Buddhist artists from the Shakya caste in Nepal. The kapalas consists of three parts, a skull cup lined with smaller skull carvings, an upper rounded top carved with a vishwa vajra and dragons, and a triangular base carved on three sides with skulls and flaming gems. The kapalas have gold plated over the copper. The bases is 3 inches triangular in width, the skull cups 4 x 3 inches in diameter, and the whole stands 7 inches high.
