We have up for sale a beautiful rare antique 19th century possibly earlier hand painted japanese vase .Had a woven wicker wrap around it when purchased ,unfortunately it was very badly decayed and had to be discarded . Wonderful hand painted flowering dogwood flower tree pattern . Quite Stunning ! Some what primitive in construction and detail , probably made by small local potter . There is a large impurity baked on bottom as well ,the wicker wrap was probably added to disguise the defect . It is 9 3/4 inches tall by 6 in diameter . The interior is quite discolored from age and use , it is in quite excellent overall condition otherwise for a piece of this age with no chips cracks or repairs .
