 Manufacture Dust pressed clay tile using a mould & horsehead press- then burned-

 Decoration Relief molded majolica.

 Decorated with colored glazes.

-APROXIMATE DATE: ca 1900

- CONDITION: This tile is in very fine condition, no flaws or repairs exist. Cement on reverse was carefully removed so minimal traces are remaining. Surface, as you can see, has a firm color and smooth glaze surface. Only minimal scratches and tiny chips may be seen, but this is nothing for a more than 100 year old architectural piece.

As were handpainted each tile was different.
The glaze & color is by far different by those modern reproductions.
It has resisted 100 years and will resist 100 years more with superb lively colors only achieved by ancient technique production.
