antique child's glass nursery tale flower center old
Up for auction is this absolutely FABULOUS, CHARMING and possibly scarce 3 piece glass set featuring children playing.. Two children are holding hands up high to make an arch while three others are lined up to go under the arch. On the curved pieces of glass there are two additional children lined up. This is an OLD set from a recent estate sale where there were numerous items related to children and dolls. I am thinking this might be 3 pieces of a 4 piece floral center for a child's table.. I have had 4 piece sets for adult tables before but never with these charming children. Possibly part of the "Nursery Tale" line of the latter 1800s. The glass pieces have a slight hint of lavendar to them as if turning color. The set has little hobnail feet all around the base. Overall good condition with no major chips.. a few edge flakes typical of these kinds of pieces but nothing major.. see photos. The oblong piece is about 4 3/8 inches long and the curved pieces are about the same width at the back side. ..also, about 1 3/4 inches high.Check our photos for configuration possibilities. Overall length when the 3 pcs are joined is about 8 1/4 inches. Totally fascinating and sure to be a STAR in your collection. You will be excited to receive these treasures!
