We have up for sale a rare antique leather bound 1848 family holy bible containing the old and new testaments translated out of the original tongues with canne s marginal notes and references together with the apocrypha . Contains several engraving plates as well . Published by h e phinney .The family name is cox and the entrances end at 1940 , it would appear to have been held by the same family for almost a century .It is 11 3/8 inches by 9 3/4 and contains 768 pages . Cover has obvious normal wear from it's great age and pages have some discoloration from age as well , but it is in good solid intact overall condition otherwise . Quite a rare find !
