This striking ring is made of eighteen karat yellow gold, with "18K" stamped inside the shank of the ring. As the photos show, the presentation is of stairstepped arcs of concentric circles, and at the center is an oval cut blue sapphire that I estimate to be approximately one carat in weight. There are a couple of small dings on two stairsteps. One is difficult to see with the naked eye, but the other is somewhat noticeable if you are looking closely. The sapphire is tightly held in the bezel by six prongs. Total weight of the ring is about thirty-five one-hundredths of a troy ounce, and it is size seven and one-half.
