Specimen Book Linotype Faces; Mergenthaler Linotype Company; not dated. Appears to be from around 1930. A huge heavy hardcover volume weighing almost 8 pounds. Some wear and soil to the cover. The binding is a bit shaken but secure and holding nicely. Some ink fingerprints here and there but minimal. Pages are generally clean; unmarked. not torn (one page has a corner torn away not affecting text). No odors. 1215 pages. Two page black and white illustration of the Mergenthaler factory in Brooklyn New York. A massive, vintage comprehensive and detailed reference/catalog of type faces. A great printing, typography collectible.
