For bid is a circa 1920’s Stanford University Indians FOOTBALL rooter’s cap. This wonderful, reversible cap is white with red (cardinal?) on one side and red with white on the reverse side. In the 1910’s and 1920’s, these hats were used in chorus with colored cards to perform rooters stunts in the football stadium stands to depict symbols and other designs. I purchased it here (Bay Area, California) with some other Stanford items. It’s made of felt and is in terrific condition. No writing or moth holes that I can find. I have some old California vs. Stanford football “Big Game” photographs that show students wearing these kinds of hats on both sides of the field. It’s also a fun piece of college / NCAA sports memorabilia. Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever, and don't forget to look at the scan below. I will ship the item for $7.00 DOMESTIC (plus 8.75 percent sales tax on items shipped within California). Please inquire for foreign shipping costs... USPS INSURANCE will be added (for the protection of the buyer) to purchases over one hundred dollars. I accept checks and money orders, plus Paypal. Please note, however, that there is a delay on personal checks. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
