Greetings from Jerry Roberts in Nashville. Thanks for taking time to look at one of dozens of classical guitars I have in stock for sale. Up for bid is the loudest, and best projecting guitar I have ever had. It is a 100% handmade prototype for a new LaMancha model. LaMancha is my own trademarked house brand and I call this model the “Aussie Blonde” because the Beautiful blonde finish Flame maple back and sides as well as design elements based on the work of some of the fine Australian luthiers. This guitar is not made in Australia but is something of an international project. Arched back, and lattice bracing pattern are both Austrailian influenced elements. Auxiliary acoustic ports are a Robert Ruck innovation (Northwest US). Double action adjustable neckrod was developed in California. Neck and neck block are one piece and the top is attached to the sides using individual blocks (called tentalones) instead of continuous lining strips, all from the Spanish building tradition. One departure from the Australian practice of using a pressed laminating process for the arched back is that this one has a hand carved arched back of solid flamed maple. This solid back is done the same way a cello back would be done, which makes sense because the luthers who build this model for me are trained as bowed instrument makers. Basic construction is done by a team of U. S. trained luthiers in Asia. Gears are premium Gotohs from Japan. Evaluation, grading, tweaking, upgrades, setup, final inspection, and marketing done in Nashville TN, by me. Scale is 650mm and very comfortable to play. Neck is on the rounder side, as opposed to flat or square feeling. Solid Cedar top, Solid arched back and solid Flame maple sides (with a thin layer of rosewood inside similar to Ramirez 1a construction style). The deep body and lattice bracing (wood & carbon fibre) yield a powerful and modern sound. If you are looking to try the new type of sound and get amazing projection in the brgain, here is a way to do it without selling the farm to pay for it. Condition is very good with a few scratches in the French polish finish of the soundboard. Auction price includes a nice new hard case.
