It is my pleasure to offer you this rare Art Nouveau Wall Plate produced by Royal Bonn in the early twenties of last century.

This factory was founded in 1755 and named Earthenware Factory Franz Anton Mehlem in 1836. They produced household and decorative earthenware and porcelain. From 1887 until 1903 the company repoduced Hochst figurines with the original moulds of the defunct Prince-Electoral Fayence Manufactory in Hochst.

Between 1890 and 1920 they made some fabulous blue and white delftware. Chargers were handpainted with reproductions of Dutch Masters and artists of the "Haagse School", one of the important art movements of the end of the 19th century. This Royal Bonn factory was incorporated into Villeroy & Boch in 1919 but as seen with other High Quality Producers their products were too expensive and the factory had to end production in 1926. The factory closed in 1931.

This wallplate clearly has been produced for the Dutch market.

Marked with the Royal Bonn factory mark and some production marks "97011". Also stamped with the patented licence mark and the imprinted Franz Mehlem mark and "AB".

DIMENSIONS: Diameter is 8.25 inches.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This plate is in PERFECT condition. No cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws.

The white spots on some pictures are the reflection of my photo lights.
