Along the top is the main toolbar. Use these buttons to access all program features. Main Date Selector allows the user to choose which month and year to View. Easily go back and view past accounting records. Payments Management section is where all payments received are recorded. The user will enter in the date the payment was received, the amount of payment along with a description of what the payment is for. The Description field has an Autocomplete feature comparable to the Windows and Internet explorer feature. This will save the user a lot of time when typing in the same description through out the month. When finished, the payment information is saved into the database. "Payments Total" displays the total payments entered in month to date. Monthly Expenses is where all the users expense categories are displayed along with the month to date totals of all expenses entered. In this example, the user has a total of 4 expense categories. The number of expense categories the user can create and manage is unlimited.
Along the right hand side of the window is where all totals are clearly displayed. You will always know exactly where you stand as far as turning a profit on eBay. Payments Received displays the total payments so far received for the current month. Expenses Paid displays the total payments the user has paid so far for the current month. Month to Date Profit displays how much of a profit the user has currently made. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. If the background is red, the user is currently at a loss for the current month. Year to Date Profit displays the users current profit for the year. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. If the background is red, the user is currently at a loss for the year. Last Year to Date Profit displays how much of a profit the user was making the previous year. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. If the background is red, the user is currently at a loss for the year. Difference Over Last Year displays the difference in profit between the current year and the previous years profit. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. If the background is red, the user is currently at a loss for the year. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. If the background is red, the user is currently at a loss for the year. Percentage displays the difference over last year as a percentage number. If the background behind this total is black, the user is currently making a profit. | As most sellers know, keeping track of all your auction expenses is one of the toughest parts of selling on eBay. If you are a high volume seller like we are, we do close to $10,000 a month in sales. With that kind of volume, you know we have a lot of expenses to keep track of. Our eBay fees alone are over $1,900 a month. Yikes! Keeping track of your expenses is of utmost importance and should be at the top of your priority list. When tax time comes around each year, your expenses are tax deductible and the better you keep track of your expenses, the more deductions you can claim on your tax return. We have made it VERY simple to keep track of the expenses that are paid though out the month. Along the top of the form is the "Select the Expense Category". This is a dropdown menu that will list all expense categories the user has created. It doesn't mater if they have just one expense category or 100, they will all be listed in the drop down box. In this example, the Merchandise expense category is selected. In this example, all the items this user purchases to sell on eBay would be entered into this category. When entering in a new expense, the user selects the date, enter in the total amount they paid for the item, a short description of the item and then they have the option of typing out a more detailed description of the item if needed. The three buttons below the detailed description window are used for adding, editing and deleting expenses from the database. The window below the buttons displays the current month's expenses that have been entered along with the itemized price. The "Month Total" at the bottom is the current total of all expenses entered in for that category. If the user needs to enter in other expenses into a different category, they would just choose the appropriate expense category from the dropdown menu. |

 | Keeping your accounting records safe is of utmost importance. Losing 6 months worth of accounting could cripple you for the remainder of the year. We have made sure the user has complete control over there database and backing up. We have also added a back up reminding feature that reminds the user to back up their database and intervals the user sets. These intervals are daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. The user controls where the backup is saved to. We recommend saving the database to two separate locations. For example: Create a back up onto a second hard drive and copy that onto a floppy or CD. The user has the ability to back up the whole database, select months, select years or a specific time period.
