WATER WILL DAMAGE YOUR ENGINE !!! - Everyone is asking for a sedimentator, now we have them in stock. For sale is a new fuel sedimentator water trap to remove water from WVO, SVO, Biodiesel, and Diesel - with 12V heater. Works well in cold areas to eliminate winter waxing of diesel and bio-diesel. Water will cause excessive wear to the injection pump and injectors as well as deteriorate fuel quality causing power loss and injector tip coking.Gray or white exhaust means you are pushing water through your engine even though your fuel looks clean. When veg temperature reaches 130 deg F and above the trapped water settles out. Additional water is introduced when the fuel inside the tank is heated by a tank heater or by warm fuel coming back through the return line. As the fuel cools down it absorbs water condensing on the inner walls of the tank. This water will settle too the bottom and flow through the fuel system. What is a sedimentator and how does it work? A sedimentator looks like a fuel filter, but contains an open space. At the top of the open space is an inverted funnel shaped cone. The fuel enters in the center of the cone and is forced down to the bottom where water and particulate settle out and are left behind. The fuel then moves upward where it travels around the edge of the cone and exits. This "fuel current" will trap water and dangerous particles that can be purged via the bottom drain. Trapping sediment and water prior to the fuel filter will extend filter life. Without a sedimentator water will swell the media inside the filter element choking the passages to a point where fuel will stop flowing. Most particles are trapped when they settle out of the warmer thinner fuel. The hot clean fuel exits without sediment or water and is ready to flow to your fuel filter. A must for any diesel engine. Easy to disassemble and clean. Two hole mounting bracket is part of the upper casting that also contains a bleeder valve. The entire unit is compact measuring roughly 7.5 inches by 4 inches and designed to be mounted before the fuel filter. The bottom has a glass bowl that lets you see the trapped water and particulate (what you see is what you don't get). Comes with 5/16" fuel fittings, if you want 3/8", please let us know directly after buying and we can ship with 3/8" fuel fittings.
