This auction is for a Nice hood. Overall the hood is in good straight condition. There are a few small dents that do not show up in the pictures. There are not any heavy creases or large dents. All of the hood latches are in good working condition. The hinge is in nice shape also and not worn out, the ends that go in the pivots are in good condition also. There is some light surface rust on the outside of the hood but the underside is still mostly covered in factory blue paint.

I removed this hood from a 1940 Dodge truck so the center hinge is chromed as was typical for the 1939 and 1940 Dodge trucks. This hood also does not have the holes drilled on the sides for the Dodge emblems because the 1940 trucks did not have Dodge emblems. Other than those two small differences this hood is the same as and will fit all 1939-1947 job rated Dodge trucks of all sizes from a 1/2-ton pickup up to a 2-ton cab chassis type truck. It will not fit cabovers (COE's) This hood will also fit 1939-1941 Plymouth pickups.
