This auction is for a NORS (new old replacement stock) dual point ignition plate. The box and point plate both show years of shelf and swap meet wear. As you can see in the pictures the point plate does have some minor oxidation but the bearing that allows the plate to advance moves easily and the points look like they will clean up easily and be very useable. The box end flap says this fits the following years and makes: Buick - 1938, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 & 1953 Cadillac - 40, 41, 42, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51. 52 & 53 Pontiac - 40, 41, 42, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51. 52 & 53 I am by no means an expert on early GM vehicles and I have no way to cross-reference if this part will indeed work for all years and models listed above, so please look at the pictures and compare it to your old distributor. You are buying exactly what you see in the pics, so please look the pictures over carefully and check your application throughly.
