01.01 Business Hours

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (United States Pacific Time). We are closed on Saturday, Sunday and major US holidays. Please do not expect a same-day response to emails or telephone calls on (or just prior to) these days. Our Mojave, California yard is not open to the public. Please do not visit without an appointment as it is likely no one will be there to let you in. Contact us by email or call us at +1 (661) 992-0297 to make an appointment.

01.02 eMail Questions

We receive an ENORMOUS amount of email. It is not always possible for us to answer questions in a timely manner. Buyers are encouraged to seek out general information about cars, trucks and parts from other sources. Specific questions concerning our items will be answered in the order they are received.

01.90 Warranties and Representations

All items are sold AS-IS unless otherwise specified in writing. Buyers must educate themselves regarding any item they purchase. We make no representation as to the suitability of any item for any particular purpose and there are no warranties expressed or implied unless otherwise specified in writing.

02.00 eBAY Bidder Qualifications

All bidders with at least a 99% positive feedback ratio are welcome to bid on our items. Please do not bid on our items if you do not meet this criteria. Your bid will be cancelled (and your account will be blocked from future sales) if you do.

04.00 eBAY Shipping Policies and Instructions

04.01 Worldwide Shipping

We ship to every country in the world except where prohibited by law.

04.02 Shipping Dates

We ship twice a week (on Tuesday and on Friday (except holidays)). How quickly you pay for your purchase determines how quickly your item is shipped. Items will not be shipped until we are notified that payment has cleared.

04.03 Combined Shipping

We will always combine ship whenever possible. However we will not combine items that result in a total package weight that exceeds one hundred fifty (150) pounds (67.5 kilograms). Due to a lack of storage space and the risk of misplacing items, we cannot hold items once they have been paid for beyond one shipping cycle (see section 04.02).

04.04 Damaged Items

We guarantee that your item will be shipped in the described condition. If the item is damaged during removal, packaging, or at any other stage prior to shipment we will notify you and give you the option of cancelling the sale. Once the item is shipped, we are no longer responsible for any damage that occurs to the item. Shippers provide insurance options for this purpose and if you are concerned that your item may be damaged during shipment, please insure your item.

04.05 Packaging and Delivery Fees

We charge a nominal fee ($1 to $10 depending on the weight and bulk of item(s)) purchased to cover our removal and packaging expense.

If you are shipping to an address outside of the United States or are shipping to an address (such as a post office box) which can only be served by the postal service, there will be an additional $10 handling fee for the time and mileage required to hand deliver your item to the local post office.

04.06 Choice of Shipper

We reserve the right to use the shipper of our choice. If you bid on our items, you must accept our choice of shipper and the fees charged by that shipper. We ship a large number of items every week and we cannot accomodate special handling requests for shipments unless you are willing to pay us for the time and expense of doing so. Please bear this in mind before you bid on our items.

04.07 Changes in Quoted Shipping Costs

We are not responsible for changes in quoted shipping rates between the date/time of the quote and the date/time of the invoice/shipment. Shippers change their rates without any notice to us and because of this we are unable to notify you when rates change. By bidding on our items, you agree to pay the shipping amount specified on your invoice whether this is greater than or less than an amount previously quoted by us for shipping.

04.08 Items Too Large for Standard Shipping

Items that are too large to be shipped via UPS, Federal Express, Greyhound Package Express (GPX) and/or the US Postal Service must be picked up at our yard in Mojave, California. It is the buyer's responsiblity to make all arrangements with the shipper of their choice and to work with the shipper to arrange a pickup date and time. Local pickups require a prescheduled appointment (within a one hour window) so that we can arrange for staff and equipment to be on hand to assist in loading your item. We will put large items on pallets and secure them (minimum $45 fee for this service).

05.00 eBAY Refund Policies and Instructions

We offer a 100% refund policy if you request it prior to shipping. No refunds will be given after item leaves our possession.

06.00 Storage Policies and Instructions

You have thirty (30) calendar days from the close of auction to ship item or pick up free of charge. After thirty days, you must pay storage fees of $1.00 per day in advance or we will resell the item for storage fees. You will not be entitled to any refund for an item that is resold because storage fees have not been paid even if the item is resold for an amount greater than the storage fees due.

07.00 Severability

Any section of these Terms of Service found to be unenforecable in a court of law shall affect only that section. The remainder of the Terms of Service shall remain in force.

08.00 Changes to Terms of Service

Changes to these Terms of Service may occur at any time without prior notice to you. Changes shall become effective immediately upon posting at www.californiadeserttreasures.com

09.00 Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America, State of California, County of Kern.
