All new, all steel retro air cleaner based on the 1951 - 1956 Oldsmobile and Cadillac air cleaners.

This air cleaner is no wimpy scaled down version of the classic design. It is a new reproduction air cleaner that has the same external dimensions as the original Oldsmobile oil-bath part 18-1/4''. However it has been changed internally to accept an off the shelf 14'' x 4'' paper element (included).

No Fiberglass construction here, steel is real. This air cleaner is stamped from heavy guage steel, fully spot welded together and then powder coated in a tough semi-gloss black finish, The electroplated air cleaner base is also stamped steel and is designed to fit most carburetors and throttle bodies. The air cleaner is notched at the rear to provide clearance for the large GM HEI distributors.

Also included is a unique wing nut to complement the air cleaner. It is a chrome plated rocket shaped nut that was modeled after the 50's era space vehicles. It measures 1-1/8'' tall.

This retro air cleaner ships as a complete ready to install kit for about half the price as a dented and rusted swap meet find. Avoid the hassle of restoration and the difficult conversion from oil-bath to paper filter element with this great design.

This air cleaner has the base to fit a 5-1/8'' neck but we have an aluminum adapter that you can purchase seperately to reduce it to a 4-1/4'' neck. The adapter is $18.99

This air cleaner will look at home on any traditional hot rod, rat rod or custom.
