 This auction is for one  New NOS Eaton Gas Cap(on right) with  box.  It fits Corvettes from 1956-1962.  Eaton was one of the manufactures at that time to make the gas cap part #37510122.  This cap is new and original.  I bought it in a box, but I am not sure if the box is correct for this cap.  The cap is new, but does have minor marks and scratches on if from bouncing around in the box for many years.  It shows no sign of every being installed (No ring on the gasket on the bottom indicating it was installed).  Overall, it is in very good, new condition. I bought it for my 62 Vette, but then found out I already had one.  (Please see note below about my photos.) My error is your gain.  Please make sure this cap is right for your car.  

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE PICTURES.  The photos show 2 different caps-the one on the left is mine, which is a Fuller-Emerson.  The one you are buying is on the right, which is an Eaton.  I included both pictures only to show their similarities.  YOU ARE ONLY BIDDING ON THE RIGHT ONE ONLY!

Neither cap is vented, although the one on the left says "Vented". I don't understand why it says "vented" when it isn't. My '62 came with an after-market vented cap,and everytime I turned a corner, the gas sloshed around and spilt out, putting gas fumes in the car.

This cap may also fit other Chevrolet models, but I am not sure.  If anyone has more information on this, I would very much appreciate an email with your info.
