1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55

1969 Toyota Landcruiser FJ55 Wagon. Straight 6 Engine. 3 Speed Manual Transmission. This is a Rare Early Model FJ55. Original California Car with CA Black Plates. Here are the Spec's directly from Toyota Website: The 1969 Land Cruiser had a 145 (gross, at 4,000 rpm) horsepower engine and a top speed of 85 mph (wagon, 80 mph), with weight of 3,680 lb (hardtop) or 3,470 ponds (vinyl top); the station wagon (red) ran to 4,120 pounds. Torque, fortunately, was 217 lb-ft (at a low 2,000 rpm), making the overhead-valve six-cylinder engine, displacing 236.7 cubic inches, similar to the Plymouth 225 slant six in power. A single barrel carburetor was used, along with a three-speed manual transmission synchronized in second and third gears. This Landcruiser has been through a partial restoration. It's been sitting in a body shop the last 3 Years. The headliner has been replaced, the rear seat re-upholstered, front and rear brakes replaced, complete fluid system change, and some body work has been started on the passenger side rear quarter panel. This is the perfect car for a nice frame off restoration. The panels on the car look straight. No excessive rust. There is some surface rust on the exterior and the undercarriage. There are some small dents throughout the exterior of the car(See Pictures). The paint looks original. There is some repaint/body work on the passenger side rear quarter panel. The tires look pretty good. Probably about 50%. This SUV is smog exempt in most states. I have the hard title for this car. It has a Clean California Title. This Landcruiser is also equipped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's and a winch on the front bumper. This SUV runs good, it takes some time to warm up. The clutch feels strong. It could probably use a good tune up. If you have any questions, please call Tom@310-279-6705. Thank you. I Would Recommend a personal inspection of this vehicle prior to bidding. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
