Porsche 911T magnesium-case engine, serial number 6196289. You can find the details of the engine in The Red Book which has all the Porsche part information.  I bought it from Porsche-guru Jim Schrager (author of Buying, Driving and Enjoying the Porsche 356 and a really nice guy) a few years ago to build a Steve McQueen/Thomas Crown Affair dune buggy...HA! It has never been touched since. So, when i bought it from Jim, he had not opened it. He said to his knowledge it was complete inside and stock, but i have not opened it so i will say that to the best of my knowledge it is stock and complete inside. I have not turned the engine over, so assume you will need a complete overhaul. One the other hand, it is a pretty rare engine and would make a smoking "hot rod" or "outlaw" 356, or VW Bug or bus.  Best if picked up in Annapolis, MD but you can hire a freight company to ship it to you.
