After working on the car for three years, I was able to complete two driver's schools this year and get my SCCA regional license and an RMVR competition license. Aside from the schools, I participated in one SCCA weekend event at Blackhawk Farms, and one RMVR event at Hastings, NE. I also participated in an HPDE at Road America in October. So the car is still quite fresh mechanically. From the perspective of a senior citizen road racing rookie, we were not competitive with the newer racing machinery in SCCA's GT-1 class; but the car did seem to handle on a par with many of the cars running in vintage racing.
It is extremely fun to drive and race this car; but the cost of hauling it off to the race venues is prohibitive for a retiree, especially when the nearest track is a 7-hour drive. Since I haven't won the lottery yet, I am putting it up for sale. If you buy it, I will sorely miss it.
Since this is a race car, it is sold "as is." There is no warranty. Buyer should deposit $500 in my PayPal account within 48 hours. Full payment within 7 days. Delivery/pick up will be the buyer's responsibility. Bring your own trailer, as there is no trailer included. If you want me to assist in delivery, contact me after purchase is final, and we can discuss the terms.
