Vehicle Description

Our 1985 American LaFrance 85’ LTI Tower Ladder was originally purchased by the  Deer Park Fire District, Long Island, NY. Deer Park did a terrific job of maintaining this apparatus and sold the tower to us in terrific condition. We purchased the tower in 1994 and have had the pleasure of maintaining and using it for the past 16 years. 

 

The tower is still in-service as we await the arrival of our new tower.  Obviously, the truck is over 24 years old and has some minor blemishes (as all fire trucks that are used do); however, the tower and engine are in very good condition for the age.  Clearly, the worst thing for fire trucks is to have them sit around and not be used.  We train on this unit weekly and it still runs first due on many box alarms throughout Wayne County.  The ladder was recently certified with all supporting documentation available.

 

Since we don’t sell fire trucks often, we thought we would try ebay first before going to a broker.  If you would like more pictures or if you have any questions please email me at gunuskeyk@yahoo.com or call me at 570-253-6256.  Our fire company is very proud of this truck and the overall condition of the tower is evidence.  We are confident that whoever purchases this truck will experience the same quality, that is American LaFrance and LTI, that we have experienced for years to come.

The tower has two very large hosebeds (two chutes out of the rear). We carry 500' of 5" and 500' of 3" and the hosebeds are only half full.  There are also air ports on the vehicle as Deer Park used this vehicle as a rescue truck when they had it, and utilized the air ports for their air tools.
