1. Our address: 7342 Giles Rd, Minocqua, WI 54548 (go to maps.google.com for directions). Phone numbers: office (715) 358-7867, Vito cell (715)892-5651, Ziggy cell (715) 892 6590
2. Our business hours: Monday - Friday 9AM-5PM, Saturdays 10AM-2PM, Thursdays and Sundays closed (no phone calls will be answered on Sundays!). ALWAYS CONTACT US AFTER WINNING THE AUCTION TO SCHEDULE PICKUP AND PAYMENT.
3. Only US and Canada buyers, any bids from anywhere else in the World will be automatically cancelled.
4. Low and Zero feedback buyers are welcome, as long you are going to pay for the car in 7 days and follow other rules. All non paying or "no contact" bidders are reported to eBay, frequent "non payers" have often their accounts suspended by eBay, so be aware, this is not a game. Selling cars on eBay is very expensive and contrary to popular believe relisting is not free. Relisting a vehicle costs us very serious money and lost time (a few hundred dollars for every relisted car).
5. We reserve the right to cancel any auction at any time. Every car is available for sale locally, any vehicle can be purchased off the lot, before the auction ends.
6. Please check Blue Book value (www.kbb.com) for reasonable pricing. Our window price is always lower than Retail Blue Book Value.
7. Quick note to those unfamiliar with bidding process: price you see right now is NOT the vehicle price, this is only the highest bid at the moment. It will be a vehicle price if you win the auction. Please check eBay tutorials if you need help with bidding. Also every week we get emails from people who "lost in last second by $10". Only way to avoid it is to bid early with your maximum price, don't wait until last minute, because you are not the only one with the same idea.
8. Warranty information: unless otherwise stated, all vehicles are sold on AS-IS basis, it means that we are not giving any warranty for any car. If you purchase the car, it is yours; we will not repair it for you if anything brakes, we will not buy it back. However, buyer is not obliged to buy the car if his own inspection AFTER WINNING THE BID AND PRIOR TO SIGNING THE PURCHASE CONTRACT shows major mechanical or visual problems (PLEASE READ BELOW). You are more than welcome to bring your own mechanic with you.
9. Mechanical Inspection: according to "reasonable care standard" as dealers we are required to inspect only BASIC functions of the car and perform only basic test drives. It means we are not required to take the vehicle apart or test every little system. For example we check drive train for visible and obvious major problems, like head gasket leaks, or slipping transmission but we don't have the time to perform compression tests for every cylinder or test solenoids in transmissions. We are always doing our best to give you as accurate description as possible, but we simply can't check everything. We can't accurately test AC systems in cold winter, heaters and defrosters in hot summer, traction control if it's not slippery, cassette players etc. Bad engine or slipping transmission = major mechanical problem, you don't have to buy the car. Not working speaker or power lock, low brake pads, minor fluid leaks, dead battery are NOT major mechanical problems, expect them in every used vehicle - YOU STILL HAVE TO BUY THE CAR.
10. Visual inspection: we check cars for obvious and visible flaws, like dents, visible rust holes, damaged frame, broken glass etc. We give you a long description and show every detail on 30+ pictures for a reason, what you see is what you get. There may be some little details not described, as in every used car. MAJOR UNDISCLOSED or NOT SHOWN on pictures visual problems, like major dents, obvious rust holes, badly faded or peeling paint, will release you from buying a car. If it was described or if you can see it on picture, car is yours, you have to buy it. Rock chips on paint or glass, minor scratches on paint, curb rash on wheels, cracks on plastic bumper, minor cigarette burns, some stains on the carpet, missing button etc. - these are MINOR details, expected for a used vehicle, YOU STILL HAVE TO BUY THE CAR.
11. Emissions inspection: most counties in Wisconsin do not require to "smog" the car or inspect it before registration, we are not responsible for any vehicle to pass any inspection in your own state or county. "Check engine light" in most cases means a problem with emission equipment (like oxygen sensor) and has no influence on car drivability and doesn't mean that car has any engine problems.
12. Vehicle history: we do not check vehicle history in carfax.com or other sites. We can only judge a history from obvious signs while inspecting the vehicle (like: repaired frame damage), service records (only if available) or previous owner statements (like: "one owner" or "police car"). Carfax is very often a unreliable source of information, owners don't report accidents, mileage record errors are reported as "rollbacks", etc.
13. Odometer mileage: we always show the odometer mileage at the time of putting car up for sale. Cars may have slightly higher mileage at the time of sale due to test drives, delivery, etc. Every car 10 years or older will have the odometer reading EXEMPT on the title (federal law). We assume mileage to be actual unless otherwise stated (for example title states NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE, or there are obvious signs of replaced or not working odometer).
14. COMMON SENSE RULE: This is the most important rule when buying used cars - YOU ARE BUYING A USE VEHICLE, this means it is not new! You have to expect problems with used cars, you WILL HAVE TO put some money in every used car sooner or later. Some used cars with 200k miles will run forever, some with 80k miles will break in few weeks, we have no way to determine that! DON'T EXPECT A NEW CAR. If we rated something "good" or "excellent" it means that this is what we think it is for a USED CAR, it doesn't mean it won't ever brake! YOU ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO CALL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS, SCHEDULE TEST DRIVES, OR EVEN BRING YOUR OWN MECHANICS. Also sometimes cars develop problems after listing or even during your trip back home, again these are USED CARS. AS A RULE OF THUMB ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS EXTRA FOR EVERY USED VEHICLE YOU BUY IN CASE IT NEEDS SOME REPAIRS. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND A COMMON SENSE RULE, DON'T EVER BUY A USED CAR - BUY A NEW ONE, PAY MORE AND GET A WARRANTY. 9 out of 10 of our buyers are great people who understand what a used vehicle is, and we had excellent mutual experience, but there is always this 10% who expect much more than they pay for. Those people ruin our feedback with mindless claims, waste our time and money. If you belong to this 10%, DON'T BID.
15. Typo/options errors: we reserve the right to make occasional errors in description or while selecting options. None of these errors are deliberate! If you are not sure of something please call or email with questions (for example: options list says CD PLAYER and pictures show only cassette, that's an obvious error).
16. Title availability: occasionally titles are not available at the time of sale (because we need to pick them up from the auction, or need to get a new one for the old one had error or was damaged etc.), but we will promptly mail the title to the buyer, usually in less than 7 business days. Every buyer gets temporary plates and registration good for 30 days to drive the vehicle home.
17. Feedback policy: we will respond with a positive feedback to every positive feedback left by you. Any feedback other than positive means that you either didn't read the terms and agreements, or you didn't understand them or you are expecting much more than you pay for. Either way you probably shouldn't be buying used cars on eBay. Feedback is very important to sellers, negative feedback means higher eBay fees and lost business. Most negative feedback is left by people who don't even take the time to contact seller with concerns, and often leave feedback for unrelated issues.
18. Shipping: buyer is responsible for shipping or picking up of the vehicle. We don't know how much the shipping is to your house so please don't ask. Google "car shipping" for free online quotes.
