HIGH SECURITY "CHIP KEY"

By now, most people know their vehicle's high-tech keys are expensive at the car dealers--typically $75 or more EACH.   Now, you can get high-tech keys from us at a fraction of the cost.  How does the high-tech key work?  The key contains a tiny embedded electronic chip called a transponder.  Each transponder has its own unique code--it's the key's "fingerprint".  When the key is inserted into the ignition and turned, the transponder is energized and broadcasts its unique code to the car's receiver in the dashboard.  If the  car's receiver recognizes the code, it will allow the car to start.  Only within the past several years have these keys become available outside the car dealers. 
THREE SIMPILE STEPS TO GET A NEW KEY WORKING ON THE VEHICLE:

1) Buy the key here.

2) The key is delivered to your door.

3) Have the key cut and programmed to your vehicle.

You'll need to stop by your local locksmith or dealership to have the key cut.  While you're there, they'll hook your car up to a computer so it will recognize the transponder chip inside your new key.

Most of our customers just buy the key and leave it in the glovebox for the next time they stop by their dealership or locksmith, and have them cut and program the key the key for them.  Many dealerships do it for free as a courtesy.  If your dealer does charge a fee, keep in mind locksmiths usualy charge much less to stay competitive.

Simply get the key cut and program the key yourself using the included instructions.  The instructions are simple and require no tools, no dirty hands, and no speicalized knowledge.

We advise our customers to always have at least one spare, because if you lose your last key, most cars' computers require an expensive procedure called a "reflash" whereby the old keys are cleared from memory and new (since you're at the dealer-expensive) keys are then entered into memory.  And don't forget the towing charge.  If you're vehicle is one that doesn't require a "reflash", then you'll consider yourself "lucky" and just have to pay for a locksmith's housecall and keys (again, expensive).  Again, all this can be avoided by buying a couple cheap spares here.
