The person who buys this truck will be offered the opportunity to continue running with Safe Way Auto Transport.  We do Coast to Coast runs transporting POV’s and dealer trades.

Since I have the end-of-year figures at hand, I can state with certainty that our highest earning driver grossed $243,000 in 2011, with 4 other drivers not far behind.  Our trucks average 110,000 miles per year with very flexible schedules.

Safe Way Auto Transport is currently transitioning from a ‘Transport Company’ owning and operating its own trucks to a ‘Dispatch Service Company’ serving owner-operators by obtaining high paying loads for our affiliated carriers.  We are making this transition due to pressure from State and Federal regulators to eliminate “Independent Contractors” as an employment status option and the general increase in transportation/driver regulations overall.

This special car carrier is one my wife and I had built-up for us and we made this truck our home for 3 years.  Since 2004 this truck has been in our fleet under two lease-purchase operators – each of whom had to get out of trucking for personal reasons ( I guess “prison” and becoming “morbidly obese” are personal reasons).

Sleeper is 120” but because it is added to the 420 cab, it is effectively 156”.  Sleeper has an over-the-cab king size bed; rear shower/toilet; 6 ½’ sofa; gas/electric apt. size refrigerator/freezer; 100+/- gal fresh water with gray & black water holding tanks.

About the Trailer:       2000 ATR 8 Car Trailer

Extensive rehab and strengthening work done in our shop in past 6 months - better than new.

ATR was a California based regional transport company which built their own & sold  trailers for about 10 years.  Owner retired in early 2000’s and I think sold transport company to URS.

ATR Trailers are probably on a par with or better than JM Trailers and Rubens Trailers – Lugo Trailers were probably the best of the So-Cal builders of the 90’s.  All of ‘em along with Boydstun (Oregon based) are no longer in the trailer business – too bad.

This tractor-trailer combo is perfect for a husband & wife who want to run in comfort.  While it shows some signs of its age, it is still a very impressive combination.

Seller financing may be possible under these conditions:

-          At least 50% down – we’ve tried it the other way, never works – don’t even ask.

-          Buyer has or willing to get his own MC Authority

-          Buyer has or willing to get his own Business name

-          Buyer is planning to work for us and authorize truck payment deductions from earnings settlement
