I am from the old school of wet sanding by hand with just 1500 and tried to use 2000 grit 3m by hand and it did not work it felt like no progress at all, so I ended up just buffing the 1500 3m, and buffing my tale off to get it to shine like glass, and still there were sand scratches in the paint it never looked how I wanted it to look, and thanks to 3m for coming up with trizact 1500 and then 3000 and now 5000 it is awsome how it works, taking your time with this system you can make paint look like a show car paint job, and every body knows that it is well worth the work when its all done, as far as the 5000 grit 6 inch foam it is the finish part thats very important and this will do a awesome job, and it last 10 times longer and thats just the 5000 after sanding a panel wipe it dry and ... I painted my classic 68 olds 442 convertible black. I had some fine scratches that was giving me the blues to get out. I read about the 3000 and 5000 grit trizact and tried them. Boy did it make a big difference and I no longer have any scratches. This is a great product.

Easy to use trizak.
8 month ago I started to use the 3000 and 5000 trizak and was sold. It gave my polishing process a better way of doing it with a sander. It saved many hours of labor and elbow grease. I think everyone should try it. Angels paint and body.

Painted a black car sanded down all way 3000 still could see some light sanding marks in certain light ... Used the 5000 grit next . Not any sanding marks
