Features:

     Here is our Brand New frame slider design.  We kept getting emails from all of you, asking for longer, better sliders, and they are finally here!  This new slider design incorporates the strength and durability of our Aluminum sliders with the low coefficient of friction of our Delrin sliders.  Each slider base is CNC machined from a solid bar of aircraft-quality 6061 aluminum, and the cap is machined from a bar of high-density Delrin.  The Delrin cap is a solid piece of plastic which threads onto the micro-polished aluminum base.  If you ever drop your bike, all you will have to replace is the cap.  You will never need to replace your sliders again!  Replacement caps can always be found in our Ebay store.  Each slider (with cap) measures 5-1/2" long, and 1-3/4" in diameter, and the bolt is 10mm.  This auction is for one pair of aluminum bases, one pair of Delrin caps, and the bolts and washers necessary to install them. These sliders are a full TWO INCHES LONGER than our standard frame sliders. This extra length will keep more of your fairings off of the ground in the event of a spill. When mounted on your bike, these sliders will extend 5 Inches from your frame.  Please check my other auctions for other models of Frame Sliders, Swing arm Sliders, and Bar Ends.

Compatibility:

This set of sliders will fit on a 96-05 gsxr 600, 96-05 gsxr 750, and a 01-04 gsxr 1000 sportbike. I am also told that these fit perfectly on the 07 GSXR 600, which means it probably fits the 06 as well, but I have not personally verified this. I am also told they fit the 06-08 GSXR 750 and 05-06 GSXR 1000 with minor cutting of the left fairing necessary. This kit bolts right on, with slight modifications to the left fairing required on some models. If the left engine mount is exposed, no cutting is required. These sliders bolt into the upper engine mount, replacing the existing bolts.

NO fairing cutting on these models:

• 96-00 GSXR 600
• 96-99 GSXR 750
• 03-04 GSXR 1000

You MUST CUT the left fairing on these models:

• 01-05 GSXR 600
• 00-05 GSXR 750
• 01-02 GSXR 1000

Installation Instructions: Remove your fairings, and find the engine mount locations where the sliders fit. They are made for a specific location. They will only fit in one place, and in one orientation. Once you have the sliders mounted, you need to cut the fairings so that the sliders stick out of the fairing if cutting is necessary. I would suggest using a Dremmel tool with a sanding bit. gradually make the hole larger until it just goes over the slider. Re mount your fairings, and you are good to go. To keep the end caps from vibrating out while you are riding, it is suggested that you apply Locktite threadlocker on the threads of the caps before you screw them into the sliders. The torque on the slider bolts should not exceed 20-25 foot-pounds, with locktite on the threads.
