This is a 1953 Nash Rambler Convertible.

I've owned this car for almost 20 years.  It's been an off and on romance.  Sometimes I would work on it for weeks on end, sometimes it would sit for equally as long.   When I got the car the body was rust free, with original paint, but the floor pans were gone.   Sold the original drive train and preceded to work on the car.  I was into 65 Chevelle's at the time, so I cut out a 65 Chevelle GM a-body,floor pan and installed that into the Nash.   The pan was smaller than the original Nash floor, so I extended the sides and rear to meet up with the Nash floor.   In January of 92 I bought a roll over RS Camaro with 500 miles on it and used that engine and trans and installed that in the car.  3.1 Multi-Port Fuel Injection V-6 with 700R4.    Took off all the upper engine parts and had them powder coated.  Also painted the "Nash" insignia on the valve covers.  Also installed a Datsun Z complete front suspension under the car...rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes, sway bar...all new parts.  Rear end is from a 710 Datsun wagon...again, all new parts.   Front and rear are redrilled with Chevy bolt pattern.  Trim rings are early Ford, and match the fluting on the door handles, and other Nash trim parts.  The dash has been smoothed over, and the old radio area now is motorized and drops down to reveal all the gauges, AC/Heat control, radio, etc....Yes, the car has AC/heat/defrosters...the wipers work too....the original instrument cluster was sent out to be rebuilt to work with the late GM drive train...including rebuilding the speedo.  All chrome has been redone, and all stainless has been professionally repolished.  Grill emblem is NOS (ouch).  GM tilt column with ignition on the column.    I didn't want to have the shift selection showing on the dash, so I had a mirror made to fit in the stock location, that has the readout in the mirror, along with the HB indicators, and turn signal indicators.

Paint on this extremely straight body is base coat/clear coat Neon Strawberry Pearl.  Although the pearl is very obscure.  All the glass is bronze tint, and new...as is the windshield.  All weatherstripping is new.  Top is new and work well.  The power top motor has been professionally rebuilt and pulls the top up and down with ease.    Off course the car has all new Painless wiring along with provision for the power seat....which brings me to the interior...there really isn't any...I have the original rear seat and the door panels, and all the stainless for the door panels.  I also have been building a unique console/dash setup.  The seats are Chevy Cavalier and bolt right in ...power seats.  That's as far as I've gone on the interior...when I drive it to a show, or where  ever, I just leave the windows up and show it like that......My fingers are gonna fall off....I'm sure I've left out many details...please ask, if'n you're interested.    This is a unique hot rod, custom car that turns heads where ever I go. Not your typical Camaro, Buick, Mustang, Honda, Toyota, kinda car
