International Harvester Travelall 4x4

This truck has been sitting in the parking lot for over a year without running (had to take off insurance for financial reasons) but it was running when I parked it.  With some TLC I'm sure it'll be running in short order.  There is some rust happening since I parked it. (see photos)  I bought a few years ago in New Jersey and drove it back to Atlanta, so the engine is in good shape.  Not sure of the trucks actual mileage.

This truck has the largest engine put in these things (392) with a 4 spd transmission.  The trans is geared very low and I usually take off in 2nd, unless I'm on a hill.  I used the four-wheel-drive a couple of times and it worked fine.  All glass is intact.  All cranks work fine.  All doors close and lock with the exception of the rear doors, they don't lock.  Has power steering and four wheel disc brakes.  The seats are out of a cadillac, very comfy.

Work I've done since owning vehicle:  new Flowmaster dual exhaust,  MSD ignition and coil, electronic fuel pump, relined fuel tank, coolant overflow resevoir, new battery, new shocks.  Truck needs a new master cylinder, existing one is leaking, and the windshield wipers don't work. I'm sure it might need other work after sitting for so long but that's all I know about.

I'm also including in auction some spare parts I've managed to accumulate:  front quarter panels from a later model IH (left and right), spare tire, misc. AC parts.

This thing is a blast to drive and gets tons of attention.  I'd love to keep it but I just don't have the time or money to do anything with it right now, plus the condo assoc. would probably like to see it gone as well!

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Payment:  $300 within 24 hours of end of auction via paypal, the remainder due within 7 days of end of auction , cash only please.  Vehicle is being sold as-is and where-is.   Buyer to arrange for transport of vehicle within 7 days of end of auction.   Vehicle is available for local inspection.    Vehicle is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early if it sells.  Thanks!

Questions and answers about this item

Q: Since the auction started, have you started and driven the vehicle? Had a 65 before, tough vehicle.
A: No, I haven't tried to start it. If I did, and got it running, I'd most likely change my mind and keep the thing! I really think all it's going to take is a change of fuel and a battery charge to get it running.... Continue reading

 Q: no vin number???
A: Vehicles manufactured prior to 1981 did not have VINs.

Q: Do you think the rear door locks could be repaired? Is that rear glass painted, or is it metal where the rear side glass usually is? I know some T-all's were made with steel there instead of glass. Are there mounting... Continue reading
A: I'm sure the real lock could be fixed. There is and never was any glass in the rear, it's all metal. I'll check on the mounting holes tomorrow. There is no AC. The parts are in a box that I adopted from... Continue reading

Q: does it have a back seat?
A: Sorry, no back seats. Vehicle started it's life as a delivery truck for a funeral home, so I don't think it's ever had back seats.

Q: Only one fuel tank? Are the two seats in front the only ones? Do you know which IH four speed trans it has?
A: Yes, only the one tank. No back seats. I'll have to do some research on the trans.
