up for sale is a 1968 Pontiac Tempest Body.started life as a OHC 6,with a 3 on the tree.not a sprint.I bought it for the abundance of GTO parts bolted to it in a clone atempt.my wifes Goat was basically useless,so we bought it for it's nice front clip,hood,bumper,and interior.what I am selling is the bulk of the body(basically everything that doesn't unbolt).I am going to give a very accurate description,which is not what was given when I bought this car. It has a very nice floor pan.I have found one spot of rust(quarter sized)under the rear seat.it has a repairable trunk floor,with some small holes,and a rusty spot over the body bolt(drivers side).I had to disect a little to get it off the frame.the tail panel is very nice.all of the under pinning,reinforcements,and mounting points are rust free.inner,and outer wheel houses are nice,and rust free.so are the trunk drop offs.the roof is not rusty,but dented in several spots.all of which are easily accessed,and should be repairable.the rockers are in great shape,and so is the firewall,and lower vent cowling.there is rust,that I have pictured as best as I can.the dash has rust at the cowl on the pasenger side.there are several rust holes in the rear window channel,but it held the glass,and with trim,it was undetectable,so I believe very repairable,and strong.the package tray has a spot on the drivers side,that is completely hidden when assembled,and not a structural problem.the quarters are not very dry.I have not stripped them,but they look to have a tape,and Bondo repair technique.they are repairable,just not nice enough to use for another car.rust over the arches in spots,and patched behind the wheels. My big plans for this,were to cut out the quarters,and dash for my wifes car,use the floor pan in my 442(up to the cowl),the trunk,and roof on my other Cutlass,and some other parts for 2 other Goats of mine...simply put,aside from the floor,this car just isn't worth killing for these other cars.too rough to use for parts metal,but too nice to throw away.might be nice enough to save,cloan,or rebody another Goat.what I really need is a 4 door Olds,a 70 Pontiac parts car,and a roof from a real turd 2 door A body,but I will use it if I can't sell it.this is this cars last chance at life,before being dissected completely. DELIVERY...I know this is a big piece of iron,and I will gladly load it on a truck or trailer with my roll back for free.I will deliver for 75 cents maximum per loaded mile,and cheaper per mile depending on your geography.give me a call,and we can discuss your personal situation,but I won't find you a shipper,crate,pallet,or put any work into doing another shippers dirty work.it's either use me to deliver,or pick it up at my shop.I am heading to Jefferson Wi.the 26th of Sept.I can bring it along for a fee,but won't be available after the 29th for about a week.make sure your pickup or delivery plans jive with mine.I don't have a very awesome camera,so I won't be sending any fuzzy pics.I am being perfectly honest about the cars condition.thanks for bidding.500$ deposit due within 48 hours of auction end.remainder due upon pickup.303-472-1469 | ||||||||||||||||||||
