A nice kit for the now-and-then user
It's really tough to rate this thing badly due to the price, even if quality isn't ... It's really tough to rate this thing badly due to the price, even if quality isn't quite all there. I've used 2 or 3 of the tools in this kit a few times each now and for the most part, they function great! I put some wheel bearing grease on the screws and the teeth are all in good shape still after a few uses. The castings are done somewhat cheaply but they're ultimately functional. The reason I docked a star is because after 4 or 5 uses, the "A03" tool (tie rod end lifter) broke. The little triangular "fingers" that grip the back of the knuckle as the screw presses against the tie rod stud are definitely the thinnest parts of the casting, and sure enough, one of mine broke off right near the tip. Given the over-all price of the kit, I could probably pick up just this puller on its own and still have a 6-piece set for pretty cheap, and that's probably what I'll do. If you use these on the regular (i.e. a few times a month), I'd pony up for a higher quality kit. If you're going to use these a few times a year, this'll do just fine for ya. Replace as necessary.
