Exterior: The paint is in very nice shape – cream with red and blue. This year Archer was the second year for the longer, tapered wings which give you more control.
Interior: The interior is in very nice condition. The co-pilot seat was recently professionally repaired due to a crack in the tubing. The front carpet and heal pads are brand new. The interior plastic pieces are in great shape as well as the dash pad. The plastic instrument panels look virtually new.
Damage History/Corrosion: I could find no damage history for the Archer in its log books. That’s 32 years of uneventful flying! You can check for any damage history online at myairplane.com or ntsb.gov.
Title Search/Background: We recommend AeroSpace Reports for a title search. They can be reached toll free at 800-765-2336, will take a credit card for payment, and will email a report within a few hours. They are quicker and much less expensive than AOPA (who charge $100+) and are located right there in Oklahoma City where the FAA keeps all their records. To save you some money, I have a copy of the detailed PlaneFax Report from July 2009 that I can provide to you via an email link. This report has copies of the entire FAA file from the Archer’s birth date forward. There are no liens on the Archer – I own it clean and clear.
Bidders: If you have any negative feedback, or if you have zero (0) feedback, please contact us by email through eBay’s system before bidding; otherwise your bid is subject to being cancelled. We can arrange for crating the Archer for shipping to bidders from outside the USA.
Deposit and Payment, and (ugh) Taxes: A $750.00 non-refundable deposit due with in 48 hours after the close of bidding. This deposit must be made by bank wire transfer. I may be interested in a nice non-turbo Piper light twin (Seneca, Aztec, Twin Comanche) airplane. Please - no other vehicles considered. Please email me with your information BEFORE you start bidding. Please don't bother bidding until you have truly decided you want to own this wonderful Piper Archer II, and you already have your financing in place. Thank you for that courtesy. Final payment will be due by bank wire transfer within five (5) days after the deposit. The plane will be released to its new owner after all funds have been received. Remember, this is a 32 year old aircraft. We make no guarantees or warranties either express or implied. Please contact us with any question you may have. We will do our best to answer them promptly. We are the proud owner of this airplane - not a broker; however, we are, also, a registered dealer with the FAA and Indiana Department of Revenue. As such, we must collect 7% sales tax from and Indiana resident, or any other buyer who does not remove it from Indiana within thirty (30) days after the sale is completed.
Pre-bidding inspection: Bidders are encouraged to have a pre-bidding inspection completed. All inspections must be completed prior to the end of the auction, and should be completed prior to your bids. If you would like to see the plane before bidding, it is currently located in Greenwood, Indiana at KHFY during the auction period. We can put you in touch with a local AP/IA who can perform a pre-buy inspection for you. If you use his services, and purchase the plane, we will split the cost of the pre-buy with you. Fair enough?
Thanks for looking, and thanks for your bids! You are going to be proud to be this Archer’s new owner! Delivery help is available, at the buyer’s expense, which must be paid for and arranged in advance.
