 This listing is for one custom chip for your 1994 - 1995 Passat, Jetta and Corrado SLC with the 2.8L engine code "AAA" using a coilpack instead of a distributor and the OBD-1 Motronic Fuel Injection system. You install this chip yourself into your ECU. No mailing in your ECU with this tuning!

SOME 1994- 1995 ECU's do not have a chip socket allowing eprom swapping, your ECU is located underneath the Rain tray in the Cowl area under the hood. Remove it and open it up BEFORE you purchase a chip.

What is chip tuning?
Modern engines are operated by a computer, better known as ECU (Engine Control Unit). This electronic calculating unit sets the pre-ignition and the quantity of petrol which will be injected, depending on a number of parameters like the surrounding temperature, the density of the sucked up air, the number of revolutions of the engine etc. All this data is saved in one or more memories, called EPROM's or chip's. Chip tuning means that the chip with the original data is replaced by another one with optimized data, in order to increase the capacity and the torque and to obtain a more agreeable and smoother motoring performance - in case of turbo engines the performance increases between 20 and 40% and goes hand in hand with a reduction in fuel consumption. All our tuning chips are developed on a modern dynamometer in cooperation with professional technicians. In development of our tunings, we simulate all possible physic influences.
