Antique English Brexton Auto Picnic Case China Set Lock

~Made in England by Brexton~Complete Service for 4~WOW

Direct from England, a really charming ‘automobile picnic case” with English china service for four, serving pieces and a leather trim case!!

I occasionally find these boxes, but RARELY do they have the pieces and this one has made it through the years almost un-touched!!

~Looking at the leather straps that hold the dishes and silverware in place and the hard exterior of the case, I think it was probably used in the early auto days, for picnics along the road~

~China has a gold rim with bright, multi-color floral pattern~

~Marked “Brexton England, 7668” (probably the pattern number)~

~FOUR plates, FOUR saucers, FOUR cups~

~FOUR forks, FOUR spoons, FOUR knives~

ALL held safely by leather straps, appearing to have been rarely used as the leather is tight and there is little wear on the interior or dishes.

~Two tin food boxes “Brexton Food Box” embossed on the tops~

~4 glass jars with original lids~
~Salt & Pepper Shaker~

~Knives marked “Brexton Made in England, Stainless Steel~

~Forks & Spoons marked “Brexton Chrome Plate, Made in England~

ALL PIECES ORIGINAL TO THE SET

Measurements:

Case is 5 ½” x 19” x 12 ½”.

Condition:

The set is in good condition for it’s age with LESS THAN NORMAL SIGNS OF AGE AND USE, SCRATCHES, DINGS AND OTHER IMPERFECTIONS.

As noted above, I don’t think it has been used much, as there is little wear from use, with any wear being only age related.
