This 1998 Aprilia RS250 streetbike is an extremely nice example, possibly one of the finest in the USA. It is NOT a converted Challenge Cup racebike. This unit was originally intended for the streets/highways of Italy.
The first owner was yours truly, Kie from Red Label Moto in Seattle. That was in 1999 and I was the first person to ever ride or start the bike. I put perhaps 50 miles on the clock then traded it to a friend of mine from Microsoft. He rode the bike an additional 1000 miles commuting from home to his office. He traded it back to me in late 2000. I sold it to a woman I knew from Seattle in January, 2001 when it had 1100 miles. She put on 725 more miles over the next 8.5 years and now the bike is back with me as of October, 2009. Currently the odometer reads 1825 miles or 2936 kilometers.
This machine is essentially in new condition. Rain has never touched it. Other than the tires or sidestand, no part of this bike has ever come into contact with pavement or asphalt. Nor has it ever been damaged in any other way whatsoever. It has never been left outside overnight. It has never been near a racetrack other than perhaps the parking lot. All of the owners thus far have kept the bike obsessively clean and in perfect working order.
Other than different handle grips, the bike is stock with zero modifications. It was delivered new with a passenger seat and rear footpegs which were off the bike and in a box. Sometime in the last 10 years said box was misplaced so those parts are not included.
A Washington State license plate and title/registration go with the bike. Also included are both factory keys, the toolkit, helmet lock cable and the owner's manual in Italian, French and German.
Trade-ins are accepted so please inquire. Paypal is a method of payment accepted by Red Label Moto LLC however 3% will be added to the total to account for the fees.
Washington State buyers will be charged sales tax on the final sales price and a licensing/title transfer fee of $50. The licensing fee could be higher if the license tabs need renewing and you wish for Red Label Moto to purchase them for you.
Non-Washington residents will pay the final sales price plus a $50 fee for a vehicle trip permit only. No sales tax or other licensing fees will be collected from non-Washington State residents. Non-residents must provide a copy of their non-Washington identification, a copy of some sort of utility bill that verifies an address outside of Washington State and they must sign a declaration stating they do not reside in Washington State.
